Welcome to Mai Lan Vo Van Qui's online gallery!

This website showcases her paintings and photographs, many of which are inspired by the beauty and wildness of Dartmoor (UK).

"I am a French (of French-Vietnamese origins) painter, illustrator, and photographer. I was born in Paris in 1996 and have been coming to Dartmoor (UK) on holiday all my life. I loved Dartmoor so much that a few years ago I moved to Devon. Ever since I was a child I was inspired by its wonderful landscape and by the ponies that roam freely on the moor. I am passionnate about horses so they are my main subjects."

Available on Amazon: a book of cartoons about the ridiculous situations faced by riders and horse-owners. Written and illustrated by Mai Lan.

Owning a horse is a dream. Owning a horse is tiring. Owning a horse is expensive. Owning a horse is worrying. Owning a horse is dirty. Owning a horse is exhausting – wait, didn’t I say that already? But owning a horse is…fun.
And when you’re wading through the mud (while your horse is being highly entertained by your struggles), it’s good to remember the funny side of it all.
This is what those cartoons are about: a selection of anecdotes turned into drawings to show the sometimes ridiculous situations faced by a girl and her horse.
