“Acrylic Sketches”
September - November 2020
“When is a painting finished? This series of sketches was not exactly planned. Not the first painting at least: it was meant to be complete, polished. Finished. But when is a painting really finished? Which stroke of paint should be the last? When the artist’s rendition is a perfect copy of the reference used? When the impression, the feelings that were sought are finally attained? Are the paintings showcased here unfinished sketches? Are they paintings in their own right? I will let you decide.”
The photos are available as prints for the duration of the exhibition.
Please contact Mai Lan if you would be interested in one.
