“Sweeping landscapes, endless horizons, the moor, the sea, the mountains… They inspire my work, paintings and photos alike. But I find details – dewdrops on a cobweb, the shimmering patterns on a butterfly’s wings, the delicate colours of a tiny flower – quite as appealing, though I have to admit I overlook them at times.
Seeing those details through the lenses of a camera is being given an opportunity to view them with a different perspective. It is like stepping into another world, small, complex and colourful. And fragile too. A moment, captured. Through the lenses of a camera.”
